Edison Elementary School

Edison School is located in the heart of Phoenix and serves pre kindergarten through 8th grade students. Honored as the only SMART Showcase School in Arizona in 2007, Edison utilizes technology as a tool to improve student performance and teacher effectiveness. Schools are selected as SMART Showcase Schools by the SMART Corporation for their enthusiasm and interest in using technology to enhance learning. There is a SMART Board in every classroom at Edison for use across the subject areas, with special emphasis on reading and math intervention.

Technology is a tool at Edison to facilitate engagement in the core subject areas of mathematics, reading, language arts, social studies and science. Students are also fortunate at Edison to participate in physical education, music and art. Students can also participate in after school programs and intramural sports.
