Public Meeting Regarding Temporary Boundary Change
NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING TO RECEIVE COMMENTS REGARDING TEMPORARY BOUNDARY CHANGE
Notice is hereby given pursuant to A.R.S. § 15-341(32) and (37 ) that a public meeting will be held on September 27, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. at Dunbar Elementary School located at 707 W. Grant St, Phoenix, AZ 85007.
The purpose of this meeting is to obtain public comment regarding the temporary boundary changes of Dunbar School for the 2022-2023 school year. Community members may share their thoughts on the proposed temporary boundary changes. Speakers will be limited to three (3) minutes.
The Governing Board is considering these actions for the following reasons:
Dunbar School is experiencing a teacher shortage and does not have adequate staffing for middle school grades. Because all students deserve a high-quality education, the proposed temporary boundary changes include transitioning Dunbar students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades to Magnet Traditional School.
The Governing Board will take action regarding this matter at the Regular Governing Board meeting on Tuesday, October 4, 2022.
