Free Summer Meals (2026)
Phoenix Elementary School District #1 is proud to participate in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), providing free breakfast and lunch meals to all children 18 years old and younger throughout the summer.
No application, registration, or sign-up is required.
During the school year, many students rely on school meals for daily nutrition. The SFSP helps ensure children continue to have access to healthy meals while school is out for the summer.
Program Information
- Open to all children in the community ages 18 and younger
- Children do not need to be enrolled in Phoenix #1 schools
- Meals must be eaten on-site
- Sites are considered “restricted open,” meaning access may be limited due to space, safety, security, or supervision needs
- All visitors must check in at the school’s front office
- Adult meals are available for purchase with cash only ($3.25 for breakfast & $5.75 for lunch) at sites marked with a “$”
This summer, Phoenix #1 will serve breakfast and lunch at eight participating school site cafeterias. Meal dates and times vary by location. Most sites begin service on June 1, 2026, while Emerson and Whittier begin earlier.

Meals are provided free of charge to all children ages 18 and younger, regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, or disability.
