• 21st Century Community Learning Centers

    We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you! lowell has been awarded the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) grant. This federal funding initiative is exclusively dedicated to supporting local after-school, before-school, and summer learning programs. As a result, our students and families will benefit from enhanced opportunities and enrichment activities.

    What is the focus of the 21st CCLC Program?

    • Academic Support: Our extended learning programs will provide academic support to help students meet state and local achievement standards.
    • Additional Enrichment & Youth Development Services: Beyond academics, we’ll offer a broad array of services that may include classes such as: drug and violence prevention programs, career and technical programs, counseling, art, music, STEM activities, and health/nutrition education.
    • Literacy and Educational Development: Families of participating students will also have access to literacy and related educational services.

    What does this mean for our students?

    The 21st CCLC grant ensures that our students most at need have access to high-quality programming beyond regular school hours. We look forward to creating a vibrant learning environment that benefits our school community.
