We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you! Capitol Elementary School has been awarded the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) grant. This federal funding initiative is exclusively dedicated to supporting local afterschool, before-school, and summer learning programs. As a result, our students and families will benefit from enhanced opportunities and enrichment activities.
What is the focus of the 21st CCLC Program?
Academic Enrichment: Our afterschool programs will provide academic support to help students meet state and local achievement standards.
Additional Enrichment Services: Beyond academics, we’ll offer a broad array of services, including drug and violence prevention programs, career and technical programs, counseling, art, music, STEM activities, and physical activity and nutrition education.
Literacy and Educational Development: Families of participating students will also have access to literacy and related educational services.
