Dear Capitol community,

 

It is an honor to serve the school community in my third year as Principal for the 24-25 school year.

At Capitol, we set high expectations for all Kindergarten through Eighth-grade students and believe that all students are capable of success, no exceptions!

This year, we look forward to celebrating student success through academic celebrations, end-of-the-year field trips, goal setting, and continuing to utilize learning acceleration strategies.

 

Located in downtown Phoenix, near the Capitol on 16th Avenue and Van Buren, our school has been recognized as a state-of-the-art facility for its innovative design featuring a large ramada, breezeways, classroom pods, and natural lighting by the Lucas Foundation.

 

We encourage you to join our school community and take part in our numerous programs that focus on academics, as well as those programs designed to develop the whole child even beyond the rigors of reading, language arts, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies. We work hard to improve our students, ourselves, and our community. We have dedicated, hardworking staff as well as community partners who are excited to continue to support us in our academic journey.

 

My door is always open to parents, students and anyone interested in learning more about Capitol School. I am looking forward to continuing to build on our successes this school year and welcome any input on how we can continue to grow and strengthen our successes with students.
