Arizona Public Service (APS) selected Capitol Elementary teachers Ami Zacker (pictured above, center right), serving English language learners, and Nicole Freed (pictured above, center left), serving 2nd grade students, as winners for the APS Supply My Class program. The program awards K-12 Title 1 teachers with a $500 Visa gift card to spend on supplies and resources for their classroom. APS surprised the teachers with a gift card each on September 18, 2023.
