Phoenix Elementary Schools Earned “A” or “B” Ratings for the 2021-2022 School Year!
We are incredibly proud of the hard work our teachers and students put into the classroom and their schoolwork each day! These letter grades are just the beginning of our success. All Phoenix #1 schools will continue to focus on providing rigorous instruction with high levels of student engagement and increasing student proficiency levels in all subject areas. A special thank you to Phoenix #1 staff for the ongoing support to our schools.
The Arizona State Board of Education released the A-F School Letter Grades. The A-F letter grades are just one measure of how a school is doing, and are based on student performance on the Arizona's Academic Standards Assessment (AASA) from the prior school year. The letter grades measure:
-
Student growth from year to year
-
Proficiency on the statewide assessment (AASA)
-
English language proficiency and growth (as measured on the AZELLA assessment)
-
Indicators measuring if an elementary student is ready for success in high school
