The meals provided follow the meal pattern guidelines established by the USDA. The meal pattern guidelines closely mirror the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, that is for breakfast and lunch we offer whole grain-rich items, fruit, a variety of vegetables from different subgroups, lean protein, low-fat or fat-free dairy options, age-appropriate calories and sodium, and limited saturated fat and zero trans-fat.
